As an intellectual buccaneer, I have some unconventional definitions for certain words ("education" for instance)...

Buccaneer-Scholar:  A buccaneer-scholar is anyone whose love of learning is not muzzled, yoked or shackled by any institution or authority; whose mind is driven to wander and find its own voice and place in the world.

Great Secret:  A Great Secret is a single idea that transforms (for the better) how we perceive or relate to our world. A Great Secret maybe practical, mystical, or somewhere in between. To discover a Great Secret is to experience a quantum leap in education. (Much of my motivation, as a buccaneer, is the search for Great Secrets.)

Education:  Education is the mind I have constructed and how I have constructed it.

Schoolism:  The belief that schooling is the only way, or the best way, to obtain education. (I'm not opposed to schooling. I'm opposed to schoolism.)
